Test your Voltage indicator is working before you prove equipment is safe to touch.
\n
\n
Many workplace regulations require you to conclusively test that your tester is working correctly BEFORE and AFTER
\n
proving that equipment is de-energised and safe to work on.
\n
\n
A convenient 240V power outlet is not always readily available in the field to test your instrument.
\n
\n
Testing on low voltage or DC such as a vehicle battery does not conclusively prove your tester is functional on AC mains.
\n
Most instruments auto select the highest range >200V AC. Proving your tester is working on the range you will use to prove safe, will maximise\n your Duty of Care.
\n
\n
\n
Proves a voltmeter is functioning correctly at a nominal 230V AC
\n
Required under WHS before proving a circuit is safe to touch
\n
Tests meter, leads and fuses at mains voltage\n
\n
Tests all multimeters & voltage testers with an input impedance > 0.5MΩ
\n
Internally self-checks that mains voltage is applied at terminals\n
\n
Indicates low battery to prevent false indication\n

AEMC’s GroundFlex® Field Kit includes the GroundFlex® Adapter Model 6474 and Ground Resistance Tester Model 6472. This is the ONLY system on the market\n capable of testing ground resistance of individual power transmission tower legs, as well as total resistance without disconnecting the overhead\n ground wire – this alone is a huge time and money saver, not to mention a major safety improvement. Key features include testing both ground resistance\n of tower legs (individually and total) and overhead ground wires. This system tests leakage current through the tower legs and tests at frequencies\n up to 5kHz to profile impedance, which is important to characterize for lightning strikes.
\n
The 6472 distinguishes itself from other portable earth testers in that it has a test current of up to 250mA improving its ability to make accurate and repeatable measurements in poor soil conditions as frequently encountered in Australia.
\n
\n
The AEMC 6472 Earth Tester is several earth testers in one. It allows the user to perform all necessary earth measurements comprising:\n \n \n
\n
\n
Earth Resistance of an isolated electrode\n
\n
Earth Resistance of a connected electrode without disconnection by the Selective method\n
\n
Earth Resistance of a connected electrode without disconnection by the Stakeless method\n
\n
Soil Resistivity directly in Ohm-m by either the Wenner or Schlumberger methods\n
\n
Earth Bond Resistance (milli-ohmmeter)\n
\n
External AC and DC voltage measurement\n
\n
\n
\n

\n
Ground measurement on towers with ground cable\n
\n
High-voltage lines are usually equipped with a ground cable to allow lightning to discharge to ground via the tower. As all the towers are all connected\n to this conductor, all the tower's resistances are in parallel. This means it is impossible to measure tower resistance using traditional 3-Point\n methods unless the ground cable is disconnected, which is a dangerous and time-consuming operation.\n
\n
Automatic recognition and display of input connections to match test
\n
The connections are displayed and flash if incorrect or absent for the test selected.
